Solar Power Products in Ghana

The interesting solar work in Ghana is off the national grid. Island and lakeside communities on the Volta, farming settlements in the north, and clinics and schools too far from a line to make connection worth the cost. Those are mini-grid and standalone jobs, engineered differently from a rooftop system trimming a commercial bill.

A mini-grid has to survive being the only supply. That means designing for the day nobody visits: generous battery autonomy, protection that fails safe, and a distribution arrangement someone locally can be trained to isolate. We will ask how often a technician can realistically reach the site, because that single answer changes the design more than the load profile does.
