Ghana's cold chain problem is movement, not storage. Fish landed at Tema or on the Volta has to stay cold through handling, transport and a market stall, and most of the loss happens in the gaps between fixed installations rather than inside them. So the enquiries worth having here usually start with ice.

We supply block and flake ice plants, insulated transport boxes, cold rooms and panels, display cabinets, blast chillers and monitoring. For a landing site the useful question is how many tonnes of ice a day the catch needs and whether it can be made on site, because trucking ice in is a cost that recurs forever and an ice plant is bought once.

Retail and pharmaceutical buyers want something different again: cabinet layout, door heat load and the temperature record an auditor will ask to see.
