Army Supplies in Ghana

Ghana sends troops on United Nations peacekeeping deployments at a scale well out of proportion to its size, and a large share of what we quote here is destined for that rather than for garrison use. It changes the brief specifically: the kit will be used in another country's climate, maintained a long way from its home depot, and inspected against a mission standard rather than a national one.

In practice that pushes the specification toward things that survive being moved. Robust cases over cartons, common fasteners rather than proprietary ones, and consumables that can be replaced from what is available in theatre.
