Bore Well Machines in Ghana

The decision that shapes a Ghanaian community water scheme is made before any equipment is ordered: handpump or submersible. A handpump needs no power and can be fixed by someone in the village with a spanner. A submersible delivers far more water and needs a power source and a technician. Districts that chose the second without planning for the third have the broken installations to show for it.

We supply both, and we will discuss which fits the scheme rather than quoting whichever is larger. Where a district is standardising across many villages, settling on one pump model and stocking its wear parts centrally is worth more than specifying the theoretically best pump for each site.

We also supply rigs, casing and screens, rising mains, and testing equipment to prove a well before handover. Siting matters too: a borehole put down without a geophysical survey in the crystalline basement across northern Ghana is a gamble, and a dry hole costs the whole mobilisation.
